Back by popular demand, the Ohio Motor Vehicle Titling Seminar series has been scheduled at a location near you this fall. OADA is proud to partner with Vitu and the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles to develop this outstanding in-person event.
Though much of the process has remained unchanged over the years, the nuances and unique situations that arise can be extremely challenging for titling and office personnel. Many of the titling questions we receive at OADA are related to internet sales, exporting vehicles, sales tax, and non-resident sales. This seminar will provide you with the information you need to solve those problems, as well as a chance to ask our experts questions!
The seminar will review the basics, including title cancellations, odometer disclosure, abandoned vehicle applications, MSOs, and much more. We will also discuss common mistakes that happen, how to avoid those mistakes and, when they do occur, how to remedy them.
During the half-day presentation, we will cover:
- Titling nuts and bolts
- Processing paperwork for export vehicles
- Non-resident titling process
- Tax issues
- Unclaimed motor vehicles
- E-titles
- And much more!
We are excited to partner with Vitu, OADA’s endorsed provider for registration and titling solutions. Vitu will discuss how they work with the Ohio BMV, OADA, and other agencies to support your title department, and work with you to develop solutions that will work best in your dealership. Registration includes breakfast (sponsored by Vitu), presentations by OADA, Ohio BMV, and Vitu, and an updated 2026 Ohio Motor Vehicle Titling Manual, which will be sent to all registrants electronically before the seminar. The updated manual can be used as a reference resource, and as a training tool for employees new to the titling process. The electronic format is easily searchable, can be shared with your titling staff, and can also be printed and bound for a ready desktop reference.
