BWC
Offering Safety Classes for
Ohio
Employers
The
Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) announced that it
will offer several classes designed to teach the basics of
health and safety in the workplace.
"Each
working environment has its own unique safety hazards,"
said James Conrad, BWC administrator/CEO. "Educating
those in your profession about the proper precautions to take
each day while they are at work is essential to developing a
safe and healthy work force."
BWC
hopes to decrease the number of claims by encouraging Ohioans
to be proactive about safety on the job. In an effort to
create positive change, BWC is offering several classes that
focus not only on workplace safety but ways in which
Ohio
businesses and their employees can eliminate injuries. These
classes are free to all employers who have a BWC policy.
All
classes begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:45 p.m. unless
otherwise noted.
