July 6, 2006

Dear OADA Member:

Nomination Form >>

Nominations are now in order for Ohio’s TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award (TMQDA).  This award continues to be the most sought after award among import and domestic auto dealers in the country.  Ohio dealers nominate a candidate to be recognized during the opening business session of the 2007 NADA Convention in Las Vegas in February.  Mr. John Voss of Voss Chevrolet in Centerville was the recipient of the 2006 Award.

If you know a dealer who should be considered by OADA’s TMQDA Nominating Committee for the 2007 Award, please note the following criteria and submit the enclosed nominating form no later than MONDAY, JULY 24, 2006 .  If we receive your nomination form after this date, it will be considered a nomination for 2008.

Qualities of an Exemplary Dealer:

  • Customer Satisfaction

  • Financial Status

  • Dealer Association Participation

  • Ethics

  • Service Sales Record

  • Share of Market

  • New Car Sales Record

  • Used Car Sales Record

  • Physical Plant and Facilities

  • Personnel Competence, Training, Attitude and Record of Service

Qualities of a Good Citizen:

  • Service to Community and Humanity

  • Civic, Political and Educational Activities

  • Additional Contributions to Benefit Others

Other Requirements:

  • Must be a member of NADA and OADA and, if applicable, a local association

  • Must be a Franchised New Car Dealer

  • Must be the actual operating head of the dealership and have a presence in the dealership offices actively managing the dealership during at least 60% of business hours

  • Must have at least a five year record of active participation in affairs of the nominee’s state or local association

  • Agree to be available for participation in the TMQDA activity during the year following selection

An independent review panel will judge the qualification of each nominee and make a recommendation to the Executive Management Committee (EMC) for their consideration.  This process assures that the most qualified dealer in Ohio will be nominated for national consideration.  Current directors of NADA are not eligible for this award, and past OADA presidents must have been out of office for three years before they can be considered for nomination.

Your assistance in selecting the nominee from Ohio is greatly appreciated.  We look forward to receiving your nomination.

Sincerely,

Tim Doran

Executive Vice President
