CLEVELAND, OH

JAN. 19-  The CPR certification program at the HELP Foundation was greatly enhanced this week when Sims Buick GMC, in partnership with the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association (OADA) and the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation (NADCF), presented a Resusci Anne Torso CPR training unit.

HELP Foundation, Inc. has been providing services throughout Cuyahoga, Lake and Summit Counties of Northeast Ohio since 1965. HELP empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through residential, day support, vocational and summer education programs to choose services and opportunities as respected and valued members of the community.

Each staff member working at the HELP Foundation must be CPR certified during the on-boarding process and receive all subsequent training to remain current with the Red Cross certification. HELP anticipates over 600 people will get the opportunity to be certified thanks to this donation.

"This donation will be put to immediate and effective use in training for HELP's nearly 300 direct-care staff so that they are prepared to provide life-saving CPR to our clients and residents should the need arise. We could not be more grateful for this donation!" said Doug Knoop, Chief Development & Communications Officer at HELP Foundation, Inc.

Charlie Sims, Dealer Principal at Sims Buick GMC, along with Jacci Horvath, Marketing & Communications Manager at the Ohio Automobile Dealer’s Association, presented the training unit at the HELP Foundation on January 18.
