State Rep. Bill Reineke (R-Tiffin) Appointed Vice Chair of Financial Institutions, Housing and Urban Development Committee

Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) has appointed State Representative Bill Reineke (R-Tiffin) to serve as Vice Chair of the Ohio House Financial Institutions, Housing and Urban Development Committee, or FIHUD, which will become effective May 1st.

"I wish to thank Speaker Rosenberger for the opportunity to serve as Vice Chair of the Ohio House Financial Institutions, Housing and Urban Development Committee," Rep. Reineke said. "I look forward to providing leadership on legislation that will advance Ohio's economic interests, create more jobs and increase development in our communities. It's important to leverage practical business experience as we improve our regulatory environment and remove burdensome red tape with common sense reforms."

The FIHUD Committee is tasked with vetting legislation dealing with regulation of both the banking and credit union industries, as well as economic revitalization within Ohio communities.

Rep. Reineke, who represents all of Sandusky County and portions of Seneca County in the 88th House District, is a business partner in Reineke Family Dealerships, with 8 locations and over 375 employees in northwest Ohio. Locally, Rep. Reineke has served as the Chamber of Commerce Board Chair, and is actively involved with downtown revitalization and economic development efforts.

Representative Reineke continues to serve on the House Finance Committee and the Ways and Means Committee.
