**Important Information from the BMV*

 

House Bill 53, 131st General Assembly, effective June 30, 2015, included changes to Revised Code 4503.182 -Temporary licenses; that will make a motor vehicle temporary tag valid for a period of 45 days.

Revised code 4519.10 - Temporary license placard for off-highway motorcycle or all-purpose vehicle, were included in HB 64 and are also valid for a period of 45 days.

Any temporary tags with pre-printed language of "30 DAY" on the tag were recalled and are no longer valid. Any of the pre-printed “30 DAY” tags that were issued to customers after June 30, 2015, law enforcement may confiscate those tags and impound the vehicle or could lead to arrests of the consumers.
