Hold On Employers – after several years of starts and stops, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has kicked it into high gear!  The NLRB’s decisions regarding employer policies and its new rules regarding Quickie Elections are presenting challenges for union and non-union employers.

Join OADA and Melanie Webber, Esq. from Fisher & Phillips LLP for a one-hour webinar about what the recent NLRB decisions and the “quickie election” rule will mean for your dealership, and how you can prepare for the changes.

We’ll discuss:

  • What you can do now to prepare for the April 14th implementation date of the "quickie election" rule and other representation election changes.
  • The need for you to determine before a petition is filed whether your employees would be voters or supervisors in a union election.
  • The NLRB believes your employees have the right to use your dealership's email system for personal reasons, including union solicitation. We'll discuss the ramifications of the Board's recent decision.
  • Handbook policies - even in a non-union environment - may run afoul of the NLRB's recent decisions. We will discuss the policies that are invoking the NLRB's scrutiny.

Melanie Webber is a partner in the Cleveland office of Fisher & Phillips LLP. She has been practicing employment and labor law for 16 years. Prior to that, Melanie worked as an HR professional in industry.  While Melanie practices in all areas of employment law, union avoidance has been at the heart of Melanie’s practice for years.  She has significant experience in advising clients during union organizing campaigns, including dealerships. But she has helped even more clients avoid union activity through her work in identifying workplace issues and creating strategies to effectively address those issues.

There is a $30 connection fee for OADA member dealers, and a $50 connection fee for non-member dealers. Register Here!
