Then the team from CareWorks will walk through steps and strategies to get injured employees back to work. This program will provide two credit hours of safety training for those dealers that had a claim during the period of January 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017.

Addressing these common issues provides a safer work environment for employees and assists dealers mitigate lawsuits. Learn more about common issues to take back to the Dealership and begin implementing changes that protect you, your employees, and your dealership.
  • Navigating Workplace Drug Use/Opioid Abuse in the Workplace. The opioid crisis has led to significant challenges for society and dealers are not immune. This presentation will explore the competing interests of drug testing and employment and the legal implications of federal law on drug use in the workplace.

Session 2: Tips and Tricks to Getting your Injured Employees Back to Work

While we do everything we can to prevent workplace injuries, they are a realistic concern that we have to deal with when they happen. This year, the expert service team at CareWorks dives into the process and decisions of dealing with injured employees with the goal of getting them back to work as fast as possible.  The presentation will focus on providing an overview of effective return-to-work strategies to get your employees back to health and productivity after sustaining an injury.

Our panel of industry experts will discuss proven strategies to aid in bringing injured workers back to work as well as identify tools and resources available. This will include necessary documentation, identifying leading measures, and proven cost control strategies. Over the course of the presentation we will be answering critical questions, such as:

  • What can I do to control and reduce workers’ compensation costs at my dealership?
  • Which claims have the most impact on my BWC premium and group savings?
  • What are the pros and cons of salary continuation?
  • What role does my Managed Care Organization (“MCO”) play in bringing my employees back to work?
