Sara joined OADA as Staff Counsel in 2004, and has held the position of Vice President of Legal Affairs since 2012. Her practice encompasses a diverse body of law, including Ohio’s Motor Vehicle Dealer Franchise law, consumer protection, sales and leasing compliance, employment concerns, licensing and titling issues, tax, and information sharing practices.
Sara also provides input on matters before the Ohio General Assembly and various Ohio agencies and departments. Most recently, Sara was appointed to the National Motor Vehicle Title Information Systems Study Committee by the Director of the Ohio Department of Public Safety, and has spoken before the National Association of Motor Vehicle Boards and Commissions.
Sara’s prior work experience includes serving as in-house counsel for Seawest Financial Corporation, a sub-prime automotive lender, advising business clients on creditor’s rights while in private practice, and serving as corporate counsel at BMW Financial Services, where she advised on various operational and regulatory matters.
Sara is a proud Buckeye, graduating from both the Ohio State University and the Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law. She and her husband spend their downtime cheering on her kids’ various extracurricular activities and going on Disney cruises.
